Black Beans with Brown Rice

Black Beans With Brown Rice

Ingredients

  • 2 cup brown rice, long grain, cooked
  • 4 cup black bean, no added salt, organic
  • 1 tbsp jalapeno pepper, diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, raw, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp tumeric
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin, 100% first cold pressed, unrefined

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients except brown rice.
  2. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. Serve 1 cup over 1/2 cup brown rice.
  4. Makes 4 servings.
  5. Add a side salad if desired.
